Welcome to Goodnight Steakhouse and Saloon, named in honor of the legendary Charles Goodnight, who blazed trails through these historic lands in the 1800s. Our mission is simple—to serve the finest mesquite-grilled steaks in Texas while delivering unmatched hospitality and an authentic Western atmosphere.
Came here to check it out based on an article in Texas Highways magazine which sang massive praise over the 8oz filet. So the 8oz fillet is what I came for and it did not disappoint. What an absolute gem of a place…

This is a FABULOUS truly Texan joint; a first class steakhouse and after-dark honky-tonk in the beautiful, historic town of Albany. Between the excellent food, great local live music and the army of personable, professional staff on hand you couldn’t ask for a better experience in this one-of-a-kind state.
